The internet is has a wealth of information, but it can be hard to dig up.  These are resources and recommendations for pilots based on our personal experience:

Located in the western part of the US?  Fly Truckee is single best place to get your seaplane rating.  Fly Truckee Tahoe is owned and operated by Kevin Sloane.
